2. The V2 Rocket Most V2’s were launched at London. The V2 was a rocket developed by the Germans. It was the worlds first long range combat ballistic missile. Over 3, 000 V2’s were launched. Only 68% of the launches were successful. However, the rocket was still devastating.
3. Ant- Air Missiles Enzian- The enzian was a German infrared missile that’s experimenting got cancelled before it was operational. Stinger- The stinger was a portable surface- to- air (SAM) developed by the U.S. Wasserfall- The wasserfall was an anti- aircraft missile that had the same layout as the V2 rocket that was near success until the experimenting got cancelled.
4. Hiroshima and Nagasaki On August 6, 1945 the Enola Gay dropped the “Little Boy”, an atomic bomb, on Hiroshima. Three days later Bock’s Car dropped the “Fat Man” on Nagasaki. A combined 240, 000 people were killed in the two bombings by America.
